In the Heart of the Energy Corridor just off Eldridge Parkway and south of Briar Forest is Parkway Villages.  A small collection of gated subdivisions that  offer different sizes and price points for everyone.  From executives to the recent graduate working for BP, Citgo, Shell, Worley Parsons, ConocoPhillips,KBR or any of the other many engineering & oil companies located in the area.

Enclave Lakes offers stately homes in a secluded gated lake community with beautiful waterfalls and many of the homes backing up to the Terry Hershey nature reserve.  Homes in this section of Parkway Villages  range in size with lots as large as an acre and homes  from 4000 to over 8000 square feet.

Laguna Springs is a small exclusive gated section where all the homes surround a beautiful small lake and waterfall.  Most homes are mediterranean in style and  range in from 3000 to 4000 sq feet the lot sizes are generous and most homes offer a pool or have room for a pool.

Just across from Laguna Springs is Madera Vista the homes in this beautiful little hamlet are all medetirrean style two-story homes  perfect for people that want a nice sized home but don’t really care for the much yard work.

Maple Run& Tracewood Park are also both gated enclaves that offer homes ranging from 3000 to 4000 sq feet.  These quiet subdivisions are located just off Parkway Plaza drive .   Every home is unique in style with homes from traditional brick to mediterranean stucco style homes.

Driving a bit farther down Parkway Plaza Drive from Eldridge Parkway you will next find The Retreat to the left.  The homes in this cozy little neighborhood  are all traditional brick homes from one to two stories with nice yards and plenty of mature trees.

Sienna Cove, Windsor Cove and Charlton Park are the next three gated hamlets  you will find as you drive along Parkway Plaza in Parkway Villages.   Each of these neighborhoods has it’s own unique style with one to two-story homes ranging in size from 2000 to 3000 sq feet.

The Villas and The Courts are also both gated subdivisions built in late 90’s and early 2000’s.  These are some of the “newer” homes in Parkway Villages.  The Courts offering more one and two story homes and The Villa’s all one story homes.  The Courts are  located on Parkway Plaza just off Briarforest and The Villa’s are tucked away located off Swiss Hill Drive.

Parkway Villages also offers two townhome developments.   Park on Enclave and Baldwin Square.   Ranging in size from 1700 to 2600 square feet both great places for those that want to live Parkway Villages but prefer the convenience of smaller yards.

KBR Inc. in Houston Energy Corridor Positive Impact on Home Values

In Home Values, Houston Energy Corridor, Local Business, West Houston on January 17, 2011 at 6:29 pm
Eldridge Oaks

Eldridge Oaks Office Building

Residential home values in Houston‘s Energy Corridor have remained relatively strong even during the soft real estate market of recent years.   One of the factors that has influenced the consistently strong  home values is that West Houston’s Energy Corridor is home to many of the most powerful oil and gas companies in the world employing thousands of people.

KBR Inc. in recent years has employed approximately 200 people  in their West Houston location on St. Mary’s lane near Dairy Ashford.  The company has recently signed an 11 year lease for 78000 square feet of office space in the Transwestern Eldridge Oaks building at 1080 Eldridge Parkway with an option to lease an additional 150000 square feet.

In an article published by the Houston Business Journal  Michele West, KBR”S director of real estate services is quoted saying that

more space is needed in the Energy Corridor as a result of additional project work secured by the oil and gas unit.

The signing of this new lease by KBR  is another positive factor for  home values in Houston’s Energy Corridor.
